The Maryland Child Care Scholarship (CCS) Program has revised the Informal Child Care Procedures to ensure the health and safety of children in this care type. These changes are effective beginning January 1, 2021.
There are requirements that parents and providers need to prepare now to be in compliance for informal care. All previously approved and currently approved informal providers are required to complete, with the parent, several new forms, create an Emergency Ready-to-Go Pack, and pass a Virtual Inspection at the care location. These must be completed no later than February 28, 2021 in order to receive scholarship payment as an Informal Provider. For details, see the Informal Care Requirements Notification Letter and forms linked below.
Join us for a live 2-hour online training on the new Informal Provider approval requirements (this will be a WebEx meeting, similar to Zoom). All informal providers and the parents are encouraged to attend to help them complete these new requirements.
