Maryland is a national leader in early childhood family engagement. State resources supporting this critical feature of high quality early care and education include an early childhood family engagement framework and toolkit that sets common family engagement goals for all communities, provides strategies to meet those goals, outlines resources to support implementation of the strategies, and identifies model family engagement practices throughout the state. Maryland also provides family engagement technical assistance to other states via a network led by Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO).
PDG B-5 funds will be used to enhance key features of Maryland’s early childhood family engagement strategy.
